At the very heart of our restaurant, there is a unique space dedicated to the life and legacy of the great Czech composer Antonín Dvořák. This intimate museum was created with love and attention to detail. Here you will find rare photographs brought to life with modern technologies – in color, warm and truly vivid – which bring visitors closer to the world in which this musical genius lived and created.
Our exhibition is divided into four parts:
Childhood and Family
This section presents the early years of Antonín Dvořák – the atmosphere of his childhood home, his parents František and Anna, and the places where his personality was shaped.
Creative Journey and Recognition
The second part captures Dvořák’s musical career: portraits, documents, musical manuscripts, as well as national and international awards. It is the story of a growing talent that was celebrated during his lifetime and became immortal.
Family and Personal Life
The third part is dedicated to the composer’s family – his wife Anna and their nine children. Family photographs evoke the atmosphere of home, which is the key to understanding the humanity and depth of his music.
Dvořák and the World
The final part of the exhibition presents an interactive map with all the places Dvořák visited during his life. Historic concert posters and archival materials tell the story of his concert activities – from London to New York, from Prague to Spillville.
The museum also includes a small gift shop where you can purchase souvenirs inspired by Dvořák’s work – music CDs, T-shirts with historical photographs, themed postcards, and other original gifts.
